The meaning of the candle
The virtual candle is a personal sign of prayer. The service is free and is not subject to donations, paid registrations or subscriptions. It does not involve the lighting of a physical candle, the celebration of Masses or paid religious services. It does not promise healings, graces or spiritual results.
How it works
Choose a chapel, a small votive or a small wax candle, a name or pseudonym and, if you wish, a thought. An email is not required. The candle does not expire automatically and remains in the service until deleted by the user via the browser that retains the session or by the administrator. To light it, you must be an adult, read the notice and accept the confirmations required in the form.
Respect and verification
Do not post insults, advertising, threats, third parties' private data, or texts you do not have the right to share. The candle appears immediately in the browser of the person who lit it. Visibility to other visitors depends on human verification by the administrator. A candle can be made visible to the community, kept personal only, or deleted. A modification requires a new verification. A failure to publish does not express a judgment on the person's prayer.
Limits and protection against abuse
You can light a maximum of two candles per chapel within a rolling 24-hour period. The service also applies temporary limits for browsers and technical sources, as well as anti-spam checks. Deleting a candle does not reset the anti-abuse limits. Do not circumvent the protections by using automation, proxies, or other systems designed to artificially multiply requests.
Management from the device
Candles are associated with the technical session of the browser that created them. If you delete cookies and browser data, use a private mode, or change devices, you may lose the ability to manage them directly. The public service does not require an email address and does not guarantee remote recovery of access. You can still contact the administrator for reports or removal requests.
Your texts
You retain the rights to your texts. By lighting the candle and providing the required consent, you authorise TV Pater to display your name or pseudonym and any thought in the chapel, subject to moderation, on a non-exclusive basis. You can request removal according to the available methods; the administrator can remove content that contravenes these rules.
Support and reports
You can report content or request assistance through Contact us or , indicating the chapel and the text in question without disseminating other personal information. The service is not monitored as an emergency channel.
